We focus on growing native, drought-resistant, pollinator-friendly, and edible plants that support local wildlife and benefit our communities’ resilience, shade access, and mental health.

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Plant Propagator Volunteer to assist with the propagation and maintenance of native and drought-resistant plants. This hands-on role at our Garden Grove headquarters involves preparing plants for local community projects, helping educate the community on sustainable practices, and contributing to the overall success of our environmental mission.

Responsibilities
  • Propagate, transplant, and maintain native, drought-tolerant, pollinator-friendly, and edible plants.

  • Assist with soil preparation, watering, weeding, and general plant care.

  • Help maintain a clean and organized nursery environment.

  • Work with the team to select and propagate plants for community landscaping projects.

  • Support efforts to educate the public on sustainable landscaping and native plant benefits.

Qualifications
  • Passion for environmental conservation and sustainable landscaping.

  • Basic knowledge of plant propagation or willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks in a garden setting.

  • Interest in native plants, pollinator gardens, and drought-resistant landscaping.

  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and a commitment to Delta Rising Foundation’s mission.
