This Girls Story is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to help plan and execute a variety of events. These include both in-person and hybrid (online and in-person) formats aimed at engaging our diverse audiences-from fundraising efforts to recruitment drives for our editorial team and content submissions for magazine issues. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to events that amplify the voices of teen girls and support our mission.

Based in DuPage County, IL - much of the work can be done remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate events, both virtual and in-person, to support various organizational goals.
  • Develop event timelines, set up registration, and manage event logistics (venue, equipment, materials).
  • Coordinate with speakers, vendors, and volunteers to ensure successful execution of each event.
  • Oversee event promotion in collaboration with the marketing/outreach team, including social media, email campaigns, and website updates.
  • Assist with post-event follow-up, such as thank-you letters, surveys, and reporting event outcomes.
  • Ensure a seamless hybrid experience when applicable, including managing online platforms and ensuring participant engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with event planning and logistics.
  • Ability to manage both in-person and virtual event platforms (e.g., Zoom, event registration tools).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • A passion for our mission to amplify the voices of teen girls.
