Are you passionate about technology and inspired by our mission to amplify teen girls voices? This Girls Story is looking for an experienced IT Specialist to support our hybrid events, where in-person and virtual participation come together. You will play a key role in setting up and managing the technology, including Zoom and related equipment, ensuring seamless interaction between attendees. Your expertise will help us create meaningful, impactful events that align with our mission to foster creativity and confidence in young women.

Based in DuPage County, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage Zoom or other platforms to facilitate hybrid events.
  • Connect and configure the necessary equipment to support two-way communication between in-person and virtual participants.
  • Provide real-time technical support to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Troubleshoot any issues with virtual platforms or physical equipment during the event.
  • Advise on technology needs and assist in planning the technical aspects of future hybrid events.
  • Collaborate with the event team to integrate tech solutions into event logistics.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing hybrid events and using platforms like Zoom.
  • Strong understanding of necessary equipment setup for live event participation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively during live events.
  • Experience advising on technology needs and solutions for event planning.
  • Volunteers local to DuPage County, IL, are preferred, but remote candidates with expertise and the ability to guide in-person teams will be considered.

This Girls Story is a quarterly girl-led magazine that showcases contributions from all who identify as girls, ages 13-19, surrounding a designated theme for each issue. Contributions can include stories, essays, poetry, drawings, comics, photographs, and videos.
