ORGANIZATION: WEST PLACE ANIMAL SANCTUARY
Please visit the new page to apply.

We are a farm animal rescue located on 8 beautiful acres. We have opened for tours for many years but are looking to have a standard Saturday late-morning tour each week. We are looking for one or two volunteers that would be interested in learning how to give a great tour (we have all the training you'll need to learn). Tours will be every Saturday at 10 a.m. from about late March until December (unless we choose to cancel for inclement weather). They will run about 1 1/2 hours long and guests will exit through the gift shop, so this volunteer position would be a shorter duration than most of our volunteer positions, at only about 2-2/12 hours.
A GREAT opportunity for an active senior citizen and others.
Get to know all our amazing rescues and tell their stories!

Mission Statement
West Place Animal Sanctuary rescues farm animals from abuse, neglect, and cruelty and provides them with a permanent home and lifelong care. We rehabilitate sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife in Rhode Island and release healthy animals back into their natural habitats. We also operate the lost dog shelter for the towns of Tiverton and Little Compton. Through our humane education programs, West Place educates the public, offers hands-on educational experiences through our immersive student internships, and cultivates a more compassionate community.
