OhanaHC is a youth mentoring program in Howard County that pairs high school students with three dedicated mentors who guide them from 9th grade up to 10 years.

OhanaHC is in need of volunteers such as grant writers, and to support various committees:

  • Marketing Committee
  • Program Evaluation/Data
  • Outreach & Community Engagement

and volunteers with specefic expertise that can facilitate workshops for our youth about finances, communication, relationship building, etc.

Ohana of Howard County, Inc. (OhanaHC) is a non-profit formed in March 2020 whose mission is to (1) Empower Howard County students to overcome barriers and achieve self-defined success and (2) Build community by developing relationships with people who are outside our usual social circles. Our vision is where everyone in Howard County can have the opportunity to thrive and pursue success, while segregation and isolation are reduced for all. Our core values are Students First, Racial Equity, Continuous Learning, Connection, and Community. Ohana is a Hawaiian concept that means extended family or community.
OhanaHC is about fostering loving and lasting relationships with those in our community. As an organization, we strive to implement the value of Ohana into our lives and daily work.
