Woo hoo! Another successful semester of Youth Chef Academy is in the books. After cooking with over 400 Milwaukee Public School students for the last 8 weeks, we have lots to clean up, organize, and stow away for winter break.
OUR GOAL? Done in a day.
You read that right. For the first time ever, the FoodRight team and our rockstar volunteers plan to complete clean up for our 16 Youth Chef Academy programs in one day. That's why we need YOUR help on December 17th. Sign up for a shift or stay the whole day (9am-2pm). We'll have snacks, games, music, and a good time as we wrap up another sizzlin' semester.

Mission Statement
FoodRight empowers youth, families and communities to choose foods that sustain life-long health.
Description
FoodRight brings vetted, theory-based, behavior driven and hands-on plant-based cooking and nutrition education straight into Milwaukee Public School classrooms. Students learn about where their food comes from, how plants are the foundation of life and the connection between intake and health. FoodRight instructors, classroom teachers, and volunteers make nutritious and delicious meals right along with students during each of our 6-10 weekly program lessons.
To learn more about becoming a classroom volunteer visit the "Join Us" page on our website, https://www.foodright.org/volunteer.
FoodRight takes all of it's own cooking equipment and whole, plant-based foods into MPS schools - you can help our students by helping our small but mighty staff as a packing assistant.
