Milford Advocacy for the Homeless is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Laundry of Love Program Team Lead to manage and coordinate our Laundry of Love initiative. This program provides free laundry services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or financial hardship, ensuring access to clean clothing and linens, which is essential for health and dignity. The Team Lead will oversee the logistics, volunteers, and operations, ensuring a seamless experience for program participants.
Key Responsibilities: Program Coordination:Lead the planning, organization, and execution of laundry service events at local laundromats, ensuring all logistics are in place.
Coordinate with local laundromat partners to secure machines, supplies, and space for program activities.
Manage a monthly or bi-weekly schedule, including organizing transportation as needed for participants to reach laundromat locations.
Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to assist with various aspects of the Laundry of Love program, including greeting participants, distributing supplies, and managing the laundry process.
Delegate tasks to ensure smooth operation during laundry events, including laundry product distribution, machine coordination, and supporting participants.
Promote the Laundry of Love program through community outreach efforts, ensuring that individuals in need are aware of and have access to the services.
Work closely with other Milford Advocacy programs to refer participants to additional services such as food recovery, housing support, and transportation.
Manage donations and supplies, including laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and other necessary items, to ensure adequate inventory for each laundry event.
Track and report the program's impact, including the number of loads washed, individuals served, and resources used, to the In-Kind Donations Program Coordinator.
Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for participants, ensuring they feel comfortable and respected during the laundry process.
Offer guidance and assistance to participants as needed, creating a community-centered atmosphere.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate logistics effectively.
Experience working with vulnerable populations is preferred, with a compassionate and respectful approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with volunteers, laundromat partners, and program participants.
Commitment to supporting those experiencing homelessness or financial hardship by offering essential services that promote dignity and well-being.
Ability to handle supplies and assist with basic laundry processes as needed.

Description
MAH is a grassroots, 501c3 non-profit public organization. We were founded out of community desire to provide and advocacy group that would gather community resources into one place ,so that it would be easy for anyone who is displaced or simply has housing or food insecurity. We were incorporated in January 2021 through the request of the community. We continue to bring together resources to help those in need and walk beside them as support and shepherd as they move from insecurity to security.
