Want to help underserved students get into college? Do you have solid writing and/or editing skills?

The Fair Opportunity Project offers free college essay reviews to underserved, low income students applying to college. We are seeking new volunteers to help us review essays during this busy college application season and beyond.

This opportunity involves reading students' college essays and giving written feedback and suggestions. All essay review volunteering is online and asynchronous. As a reviewer, you will have the flexibility to share your availability as well as what volume of essays you have time for on a weekly basis. Even the training to become a reviewer is flexible!

Don't wait! Create an account with FOP, and get started right away!

About FAIR OPPORTUNITY PROJECT

Location:

Mission Statement

Fair Opportunity Project provides college application information and support services, a comprehensive guide, and fiscal sponsorship for education organizations and scholarships. We aim to help students attend and afford college, while also exploring other opportunities post-high school.

Description

Fair Opportunity Project (Fair Opp) is a nationally-recognized, federally-funded education nonprofit. Every year, Fair Opp sends free college application advice to over 63,000 public educators via our guide. We also have over 100 college and financial aid mentors who help students maximize their aid, put together winning applications, and file the FAFSA.

Fair Opp has been featured in Forbes 30 Under 30, the New York Times, and the Harvard Education Magazine.

We are able to provide these resources through private and public donors, and we are happy to say they are all free for students.
