Please visit the new page to apply.
Devoted to Children is searching for a passionate and experienced individual to transfer the stewardship of the organization. In collaboration with the Board of Directors the new Executive Director will fulfill the long term goals of D2C with fresh energy and expertise. D2C currently is run completely by the dedication of volunteers, and has survived many ups and downs over the years. However with a strong commitment to our children in Haiti, and continued determination, D2C has accomplished the mission tenfold. It is with hopeful anticipation that D2C looks forward to a fresh start by transitioning to the most aligned new leadership. This is an unpaid position.
Devoted to Children is a small 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of vulnerable children who have been orphaned and abandoned in Haiti. At the moment our top priority is to continue operating the D2C Family Home which cares for 8 youth and employs 3 local Haitian staff. Due to COVID and the current instability in Haiti, all other community projects of D2C have been paused. It is the goal of our current Director / Founder and Board of Directors to continue caring for these 8 youth as they finish their education and provide the life skills necessary to 'graduate’ and thrive independently.

Mission Statement
Devoted to Children's (D2C) mission is to meet the needs of vulnerable children in the village of Cayes Jacmel, Haiti and to provide them with educational opportunities for a better future. D2C works with the local community to create sustainable and long-term youth-oriented projects that aim to end the cycle of poverty.
Description
Devoted to Children (D2C) is a small 501(c)3 nonprofit organization focused on supporting the needs of vulnerable children in Cayes Jacmel, Haiti and providing them with educational opportunities for a better future. D2C was founded in order to address the immediate and long-term needs of the Cayes Jacmel community’s most at-risk children - including abandoned and orphaned children, as well as former restaveks (child slaves). In addition to providing physical needs such as shelter, nutritious food and clothing, the D2C Family Home focuses on initiatives that aim to support the children’s overall psycho-social well-being and growth into future leaders who will be able to give back to their community.
At its inception in 2012, D2C focused primarily on the founding and operation of a long-term family home for a small number of vulnerable children identified by the local community of Cayes Jacmel. By 2015, D2C expanded its mission to include programs focused on education, mental health and livelihoods.
As the D2C organization continues to grow, so too do the children and youth that it serves. D2C wants to ensure that as these youths reach adulthood, they will not only have the education, but also the professional skills and network to help strengthen their economic independence, build community capacity to soften the impact of future shocks, and break the poverty cycle that plagues much of the country.
