Capital Hospice is looking for a volunteer while allowing them to bring along their service animal! Pet therapy helps people when it comes to their physical and mental health. Become a volunteer with your service animal today by calling 630-581-5492 and ask for the volunteer coordinator Sierra.
There are several locations in Illinois that could benefit from pet therapy which includes Chicago, Wheaton, Cicero, Oak Brook, Homewood, New Lenox and other areas!
Do you and your furry friend want to get out and meet new people? Do you want to spend time with the elderly and/or give back to your community? Becoming a volunteer while bringing your pet can be very rewarding because there are so many benefits that come along with it such as reduced anxiety and/or stress.
Pet Therapy Volunteers are a wonderful way to share comfort and compassion through interactions with Certified Therapy Pets and Hospice Patients. A visit from a therapy animal can bring an immense amount of joy, emotional support, and fulfillment to a hospice patient. Pet therapy has been proven to decrease pain and stress. No hospice experience necessary but the animal must be certified and up to date on all vaccinations.
Your pet must be a service animal with all vaccinations and paperwork up to date. If you have any questions and/or are interested please call 630-581-5492
