The Philly Book Bank is growing at a rapid pace, and we are seeking more volunteers to assist us. We provide a flexible, fun and most importantly, a welcoming environment for volunteers. At the Philly Book Bank, we offer a flexible diverse range of volunteer roles to cater to different interests and skills. From processing donations to serving as community ambassadors, there's something for everyone. You can even assist us remotely in promoting our work. And for those who enjoy being out in the community, we invite you to join us at events where we distribute books.

Mission Statement
The Philly Book Bank is a 501©3 non-profit organization located at Martin Luther King High School in Philadelphia, PA, providing books for children birth through high school. Books are selected and distributed in bulk through community events, placement in sidewalk libraries, and partnerships with private, governmental, and local organizations. The Philly Book Bank creates literacy-rich spaces by giving educators, community organizations, children, and families access to free, high-quality, culturally diverse children’s books. Visitors are welcome to visit at designated times to pick off of our shelves.
