ORGANIZATION: Fun Time Early Childhood Academy

image_20241015082225

Tutors are requested to meet during the school day with the children one on one in support of our ELLM (Early Literacy and Learning Model) program for the three- to five-year-olds. The volunteers work with the children to reinforce the literacy concepts learned in the classroom. Each volunteer visits the same child every week from November through mid-April for 20 to 30 minutes per child. Volunteers often choose to have assignments of two to three children each visit. The volunteers read books to the children, and together they engage in a related math, literacy, science, or art activity to further the learning experience.

About Fun Time Early Childhood Academy

Location:

102 12th Street N, Naples, FL 34102, US

Mission Statement

To provide safe, quality, affordable education and care for children and parents from low-income working families and to prepare the children for kindergarten, ready to read and ready to learn!

Description

Did you know there are 15,000 children under the age of 5 in Collier County, and only 6,000 children are in formal care? According to the Florida Department of Education, only 47% are ready for kindergarten. More than 20 centers have closed since the pandemic. Only 17% of early learning centers in Southwest Florida are 4/5 star or accredited. Fun Time Early Childhood Academy is both.

We provide safe, quality, affordable education and care for children and parents from low-income working families and prepare children for kindergarten, ready to read and ready to learn.

We believe every child deserves access to high-quality education and care, regardless of their family's income. That's why we offer affordable and accessible early childhood education programs for working families with limited financial resources. Our center provides a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow, and parents can feel secure knowing their children are in good hands.

By investing in early childhood education, we are helping to build a stronger future for our community. If you are interested in learning more or want to come to the center for a tour, please let us know.
