Be My Neighbor Day is a celebration of "Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood" with hands-on activities, educational media, imaginative play and a meet & greet with Daniel Tiger! Children and families are invited to join us at our Lowertown Studios for a fun-filled day.

By signing up to volunteer, you agree to the following:

  • Able to stand for 5+ hours and comfortable interacting with children and families. (You will be able to take breaks as needed throughout your shift.)
  • You are 16 years or older. If you are aged 13-15, you will volunteer with a parent or guardian.
  • All volunteers for Be My Neighbor Day ages 18 years and older will be required to pass a background check. If you are 17 years old or younger, you will not be required to complete a background check.

This event is made possible by the work of amazing volunteers like you! We have the following roles available for this event:

  • Activity Attendant - oversee an activity for the duration of the event - more details will be provided on the day of the event
  • Atrium Attendant - help guests navigate through the path of the event and answer guests' questions when needed
  • Check-In Line Attendant - direct guests to the front door of TPT, organize the queue of guests if there is a wait and answer guests' questions when needed
  • Check-In Table - check guests in using the TPT-provided tablets - must be comfortable using an iPad
  • Meet & Greet Attendant - oversee the Daniel Tiger meet & greet by organizing the line, working with the character guides and taking pictures of families as requested
  • Neighborhood of Make Believe Attendant - attend to the interactive set pieces, ensure guest safety and take pictures of families as requested
  • Play Area Attendant - interact with kids as they play in the Street Space at TPT
  • Snack Table Attendant - prepare the snack table for kids and families attending the event

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 16
  • Shifts range from 3.5 - 7.25 hours in length. Background check will be conducted via email in advance.
  • Able to stand for 5+ hours, comfortable interacting with children and families, age 16 years or older or ages 13-15 with a parent or guardian, and able to pass a background check if ages 18 years or older.
