Do you have a passion for music and a desire to bring comfort and joy to others? Our hospice is seeking talented musicians to volunteer and offer the gift of music to patients living with terminal illnesses. As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to create a flexible schedule that works for you. No medical background needed! Our volunteers do not provide any medical or personal care-your role will be strictly to offer emotional and social support. How you can help:
- Perform live music or play recorded music to soothe and uplift patients
- Provide companionship through music, whether it’s a gentle guitar session, piano melodies, or singing
- Offer a calming presence to patients, their caregivers, and families
- Engage patients in music-related activities like singing along, reminiscing to familiar songs, or listening to calming tunes together
- Support families and caregivers by offering a peaceful, therapeutic atmosphere through music
