About the Ted Rhodes Foundation:
The Ted Rhodes Foundation is dedicated to preserving the legacy of golf pioneer and golf trailblazer Ted Rhodes and promoting diversity and inclusion within the sport of golf. We focus on supporting youth golf initiatives, educational opportunities, and community outreach to inspire future generations of golfers.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join the Ted Rhodes Foundation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and visually compelling designs that reflect the Foundation’s mission, values, and events. This role will play an integral part in elevating the Foundation’s brand through various media platforms, including social media, print, and digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to develop creative concepts and execute designs for events, campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Design graphics for social media posts, newsletters, flyers, posters, and other digital and print collateral.
  • Create visual content for Foundation events, including charity golf tournaments, fundraisers, and youth golf programs.
  • Ensure all visual elements align with the Foundation’s branding guidelines.
  • Work with web developers to create engaging web graphics and banners as needed.
  • Prepare and format files for both digital and print production.
  • Revise designs based on feedback and project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably within a nonprofit or sports-related organization.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other graphic design software.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to create designs that are culturally sensitive and resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the sport of golf or familiarity with the Ted Rhodes legacy is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience designing materials for community outreach, educational initiatives, or sports events for youth and adults
  • Prior experience with nonprofit or charitable organizations is highly desirable.

Ted Rhodes’ vision was to make the game of golf open to all races. The Foundation is honoring his vision by creating pipelines of African Americans to work in the golf industry as golfers or professionals working in the golf industry by hosting educational events, golf clinics, and golf tournaments for youth and adults. Our youth program is Future Golfers of America " Growing the Champions of Tomorrow’. We provide financial support to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) golf programs and golf team members to help further this mission. We also partner with local urban youth golf programs. Opening doors to the world of golf.
