PIDO has grown to an estimated 7,500 members in more than 2,700 households. We are almost entirely supported by many small donations. That’s a lot to keep track of.
PIDO is seeking volunteers who can help with official correspondence, minutes, finances, donations, and databases. Once trained, volunteers would work from home on their own computers. You might be updating our snail mail and email addresses, logging donations and new memberships, generating donation receipts and thank you letters, or registering people and pups for some of our events or at the events themselves. A few hours a week or a month really helps us out.
This is low-key and fulfilling for the detail-oriented. The time commitment varies from two to eight hours a month. You must be local, able to meet while being trained, a PIDO member, and pass a routine background check.
We could also use help with updating and design on our website (we use Squarespace) and possibly Google Workspace.
If this matches your interest and skills, please get in touch: info@pido.org

Mission Statement
Point Isabel Dog Owners (PIDO) works with the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) to maintain and preserve Point Isabel as a multi-use park that welcomes off-leash recreational dogwalking; educates park visitors about park rules and concerns; preserves the natural environment at Point Isabel; and supports other groups in their efforts to preserve on-leash and off-leash recreational dogwalking
Description
Point Isabel Dog Owners Association and Friends (PIDO) formed in 1985 to advocate for recreational dogwalking at Point Isabel and around the San Francisco Bay Area. PIDO became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2000 and has approximately 6,000 members.
PIDO works closely with the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) to keep Point Isabel clean and safe through education (online, email, and The PIDO Pointer newsletter, which is published three times a year), monthly park cleanups, monthly weed-pulls, and an annual contribution to the EBRPD for poop pickup bags.
