ORGANIZATION: DOYLESTOWN AREA FISH
Please visit the new page to apply.
Are you a caring person? Do you want to help the unhoused and housing insecure in your own community? If so, volunteer with Doylestown Area FISH, where we are always looking for kindhearted individuals, like you.
Volunteers are the heart of our mission as we strive to end the cycle of homelessness. We provide services for unhoused and housing insecure individuals and families, who live in the Central Bucks School District. This includes granting emergency shelter, food aid, rental assistance, help with utility bills, heating oil deliveries and gasoline, as well as other bills associated with housing expenses.
As a volunteer, you can choose which days you are available each month, and all you need is your own computer and phone. You will be responding to voicemails received between 9 AM and 7 PM on the days you volunteer, typically 3-4 days each month. On average you will handle from 2 to 7 calls a day.
All volunteers live in the Central Bucks County area and dedicate their time to listen, support, and help our callers. You will be trained on our database and the various resources that can be utilized to assist with a caller’s needs.
