The Student Ambassador Project was established in 2014 to empower students (ages 13 - 18) to harness their leadership skills while taking an active role in advocating for equitable education for students in underserved schools. Student ambassadors learn how to collaborate with their school and community members while providing classrooms with books and resources to improve literacy outcomes.
You’ll have the opportunity to adopt a classroom or entire school twice during the school year to ensure equitable literacy for students in need. With the help of mentors and our online video trainings, we will help you and your parents to work together to ensure students in your community have access to diverse and culturally relevant books!

- Provide students with books and school supplies at Title I schools
- Develop leadership skills through project development, management, and execution
- Earn community service hours toward the President’s Volunteer Service Award. The Leaders Readers Network is a certified organization with the Presidential Recognition program. Each year, we will honor outstanding student volunteers.
