STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program specializing in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum emphasizing the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

Description Are you a creative individual looking to make a difference? We are seeking passionate volunteers to join our team as a Graphic Designer. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills, gain valuable experience, and contribute to meaningful projects that positively impact our community. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a student looking to build your portfolio, we welcome you!
Responsibilities:
- Design engaging visual content for STEM Canada's social media platforms to boost engagement.
- Create attractive and informative brochures, flyers, and posters for STEM outreach programs.
- Develop visually appealing presentations and infographics to simplify complex STEM concepts.
- Design eye-catching banners and promotional materials for STEM events and workshops.
- Collaborate with the content team to create visually compelling educational resources.
- Ensure all designs adhere to STEM Canada's brand guidelines and visual identity.
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance STEM Canada's visual communication strategies.
- Assist in designing user-friendly interfaces for STEM Canada's digital platforms.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma).
- Excellent visual communication skills and ability to translate ideas into impactful designs.
- Strong understanding of design principles, colour theory, and typography.
- Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
- Adaptability to feedback and willingness to iterate on designs.
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Enthusiasm for STEM education and ability to convey scientific concepts visually.
- Familiarity with current design trends and best practices in digital and print media.
