ORGANIZATION: California State Parks Foundation

Support ongoing habitat restoration efforts at the park! Volunteers will remove invasive or non-native vegetation and use it to cover social trails in order to discourage illegal off-trail hiking that disturbs sensitive habitats. During planting season, we will plant native species and water plants. We will also be picking up trash as needed. This project helps protect dune habitat that supports local wildlife like the Smith’s blue butterfly and western snowy plover. Ages 8 and older welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult and bring a waiver signed by their guardian).

PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required to ensure volunteers receive important details on where to meet the group and what to bring. Please sign up on our webpage https://volunteer.calparks.org/
