looking for land donation to create a community helping victims.
Position Overview:
The Land Acquisition Research Volunteer will play a crucial role in supporting our nonprofit organization’s mission to provide resources and safe spaces for survivors of domestic violence. This volunteer will be responsible for researching and identifying potential land opportunities for our organization, including free or low-cost land options, partnerships with local entities, and potential grants or funding sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research local land trusts, conservation organizations, and government resources that may provide land for nonprofit use.
- Identify and connect with local government offices to explore available surplus land, programs, or initiatives that support nonprofits.
- Network with other nonprofits and community organizations to discover potential land partnerships or collaborative opportunities.
- Investigate online platforms and local listings for land that may be available for community or nonprofit use.
- Compile a list of potential land opportunities, along with relevant contact information and application processes.
- Assist in drafting proposals or outreach communications to landowners, organizations, or government entities.
- Provide regular updates to the nonprofit’s leadership team about findings and progress.
Qualifications:
- Passion for and commitment to the mission of supporting survivors of domestic violence.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and community resources is a plus.

2. Build Tiny Home Community for DV Survivors:

- Collaborate with architects and builders.
3. Establish Farm:
- Create sustainable farming initiative.
- Partner with local experts for success.
4. Provide Daycare and Clothing Store:
- Secure grants for daycare and clothing store.
- Design trauma-informed programming for children.
- Offer clothing and essential items for survivors.
5. Offer Comprehensive Support Services:
- Provide counseling, business classes, training, and self-defense.
- Assist with legal matters, escape plans, and rebuilding lives.
6. Build Supportive Community Environment:
- Create a holistic community for survivors and families.
- Collaborate with partners for awareness and advocacy.
