Cheer and Gear, Family Dance Party, Materials for Families Fundaraiser, will consist of a toddler friendly dance party, a beverage and snack table, side room for quieter crafters and free clothing racks filled with holiday gear and winter clothing. This party is being held to raise funds and help Materials for Families continue to work in Wahi and Inwood to keep clothing in use and out of landfills.

Mission Statement
We store gently used, seasonally inappropriate baby and kid clothing, like swimsuits in the winter to give them a second chance at being reused by the community. We are working to make the world more green by connecting communities with their resources and influencing their views on used materials. We do this by supporting community swaps, storing clothing, and educating community members.
Description
We are in our second season of organizing Kid and Baby Stuff Swaps in Inwood and Washington Heights. In addition to facilitating the sharing of toys and clothing in these communities, Materials for Families stores, and provides a free selection of seasonally appropriate clothing. All this is done to keep these resources in use for as long as possible in their community and put friction in the clothing waste landfill pipeline.
