Curriculum Volunteer/Intern Role Description

We are seeking a Curriculum Volunteer/Intern to join our team. This role will support the development of curriculums, training materials, and youth leadership programs designed to empower under-resourced students. The volunteer/intern will help oversee the curriculum, and provide administrative support. This opportunity allows you to make a direct impact on students’ futures by motivating them to pursue higher education and realize their potential.

This role requires a minimum commitment of 3 months and involves 5 to 10 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities

  • Write and develop curriculums and training materials for staff and volunteers
  • Monitor programs and provide support to ensure successful implementation
  • Conduct research on various ad hoc projects
  • Create and maintain documents, as well as perform data entry and proofreading
  • Handle additional administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience in curriculum planning, writing, and preparation (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Canvas or similar platforms
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in a team
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new software
  • Professionalism and initiative in problem-solving

Diversity has been an area of concern in international education for many years, Global Diversity Abroad, our sister company, mission is to present the opportunity for historically over-looked high school students with the possibility to learn on an international platform. This program is specially designed to meet the needs of minority and at-risk youth, guiding them through a course of study that will expose them to drastic life changing experiences abroad.

Our goal is to formulate a preventative social mindset where students are exposed to new ideas, build positive relationships, develop confidence and experience new challenges. This is our model to empower young people to be globally-minded individuals by transforming their lives.
