Description
Founded in 1993, Leave Out Violence (LOVE) is an award winning youth organization with independent branches in Montréal (LOVE Quebec), Vancouver (LOVE BC), and Halifax (LOVE Nova Scotia).
LOVE BC based in Vancouver was founded in 2000 and has been at the forefront of youth violence prevention ever since. LOVE BC’s mission is to foster thriving youth communities through emotional resilience, skill development, and engagement with arts & media. We have been providing empowering youth spaces for over 20 years through after-school programs, workshops and events to develop their emotional resilience, self-growth and connections through artistic expression.
Our approach enables youth to be part of a community and develop lasting relationships amongst youth as well as with youth workers who can tailor support systems and support the long term growth of each youth. LOVE BC is dedicated to supporting underserved youth, particularly those who are LGBTQI+, racialized, Indigenous and newcomers through targeted programs and partnerships.
With this distinctive approach, LOVE BC is a leader in violence prevention and offers workshops for schools, educators, and the broader youth sector, solidifying our reputation as a trusted resource in the field.
