Join Special Olympics Arizona at Fiesta Lanes for the Coronado Area Bowling Competitions! We are looking for volunteers to help with set-up, provide competition support, lane monitoring, and as always, cheering on the athletes! No previous experience or bowling knowledge required.

  • Thu Nov 07, 2024 - 08:30 AM to 02:00 PM MST - Spots available: 10+
    Volunteers will help with set-up, cheer on the athletes, and monitor the lanes.
  • Fri Nov 08, 2024 - 08:30 AM to 02:00 PM MST - Spots available: 9
    Volunteers will help with set-up, keep track of the frames and cheer on the athletes.
  • Sat Nov 09, 2024 - 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM MST - Spots available: 10+
    Volunteers will provide competition support, lane monitoring, presenting awards and cheering on the athletes.
  • Sat Nov 09, 2024 - 11:30 AM to 03:00 PM MST - Spots available: 10+

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

Description

Special Olympics Arizona’s (SOAZ) goal is to empower the over 180,000 Arizonans with intellectual disabilities to be healthy, productive, and respected members of society through SOAZ’s year-round sports training, competitions, and support programs.

  • Must be at least 8
  • Volunteers must be 14 or older to volunteer on their own. Those 8-13 years of age can register to volunteer but must have an adult(21+) volunteering with them (one adult for every 4 youth max). Those under 8 years old are welcome to attend and cheer
