Mission Statement
Geftid is the bridge between the corporations and the underrepresented and underserved communities of America. Geftid is also works in line with the nation mission to change to more eco-friendly technology.
Description
Geftids’ first event, Day N’ LA, was coordinated in Los Angeles, CA. Unfortunately, the pandemic and pandemic restrictions canceled our event. Geftid would have paired with the city to honor this nation's veterans, provide job and educational opportunities to the community, and give the town some live band entertainment. Schools will be competing to perform at our yearly event honoring our Veterans and providing opportunities for a stable economic community.
Keeping busy during Covid, Geftid worked in different diameters of helping the community. Geftid completed several community clean-ups. Partnered with Speedy Clean-up and Clean-out, a cleaning and garbage removal service based in Los Angeles, Ca. Geftid helped American Plastic Tech (APT) by building a crew made out of young men in the community who have lost employment from Covid related issues.
Geftid also recognizes a severe mental health issue within the communities of Los Angeles County and launched with several entities The Emergency Mental Health Evaluation and Treatment Plan. This program aims to bring awareness to mental health issues within our neighborhoods, starting with acknowledging different ideas of healing after a parent's tragic event within the inner-city communities, i.e., losing their child due to gun violence. Geftid has collaborated with the College of Instrument Technology (CIT) and created a scholarship fund to offer Heavy Equipment and Class A Licensing opportunities to the communities of Los Angeles and surrounding Counties.
