ORGANIZATION: Idealist.org

Recruiting Organization: RSPB Northern Ireland

We are looking for volunteers who can support teams and take on administrator tasks as part of an existing team that supports the RSPB operation. By opening up our work to more volunteers in this way, it means we can scale up what we can achieve and do more for nature.

You will be a good all round 'people person', have a keen attention to detail and great organisational skills as well as a confident user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Tasks will include monitoring the general RSPB NI mailbox, returning telephone calls from the general public regarding wildlife queries, or directing calls to work colleagues. In addition, assistance with general office administrative tasks across the RSPB NI teams including operations, policy, fundraising and communications. Such as distributing incoming post, organising meetings, typing and printing/photocopying.

This is a great opportunity to utilise your existing skills and learn new ones, whilst working as part of a small, friendly team. There is room for development within the role, an opportunity to volunteer for additional days or role-share. Support, guidance and relevant training resources will be provided in the role. Suitable days and working hours can be agreed with the successful applicant.
