Spanish Teacher - Texas

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

¡Se busca maestro/a de español!

Chamizal National Memorial needs a trained Spanish teacher to help us to create lesson plans for a basic introductory Spanish class for adults.

One of our park themes is, "Chamizal National Memorial stands as a reminder of what goodwill and cooperation can accomplish by providing an avenue for understanding and enrichment to transcend barriers of race, ethnicity, and language." This position will create lesson plans for bilingual park educators to use to teach adult learners as an introduction to the Spanish language. Classes will foster an appreciation for the people and culture of our neighboring Mexico by acquiring basic Spanish language skills using place and resources that commemorate our shared history.

Park rangers will determine length and duration of classes with input from Volunteer Spanish Teacher. If the selected volunteer applicant is interested in helping to deliver instruction either virtually or in-person if local to El Paso, Texas, please discuss with the volunteer supervisor.
