We are seeking a creative and passionate individual to join our team as a volunteer Social Media Content Creator to help lead the planning and execution of a life-changing swim retreat for Black women overcoming aquaphobia. Our ideal candidate is interested in topics related to swim equity, water safety, and other water/swim related topics with a strong sense of empathy and understanding for the target audience.
Responsibilities:Content Creation: Develop high-quality content, including text, images, and videos, that aligns with our organization's brand and messaging from a predefined list of topics.
Visual Storytelling: Create visually appealing and engaging content that captures attention and drives engagement.
Platform Optimization: Tailor content to specific social media platforms, considering their unique characteristics and audiences.
Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other team members to ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all communication channels.
Experience with creative software such as Figma or Canva.
Ability to apply existing branding elements to creative content.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and their best practices.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Creative and innovative mindset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Our current project involves tackling swim disparity and closing the swim equity gap through awareness, collaboration with related brands, and sponsoring programs.
One program that we are currently sponsoring is a swim retreat for Women of Color aged 55+ who are non-swimmers.
