We are convinced that dedicated individuals can create significant change and enhance our community by offering better educational and cultural opportunities for everyone.

To reach our objectives, we seek a passionate, committed, and community- oriented individual to join our board.

Help us foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization for families, employees, the Board of Directors, and the wider community.

You will have a chance to influence the future of children, families, and individuals in our community.
You will collaborate with fellow Directors to contribute diverse perspectives and expertise, engage in initiatives to enhance Board governance, support the Manchester City Library’s growth, and leverage your knowledge and network to aid in the library’s development and fundraising efforts.

We meet every second Wednesday of the month at 5pm.

About MANCHESTER CITY LIBRARY FOUNDATION

Location:

405 Pine Street, Manchester, NH 03104, US

Mission Statement

The Manchester City Library Foundation is a private, nonprofit corporation committed to providing supplemental support to the Manchester City Library. The Foundation reinforces the need for continued and increased public support for the library, and serves as a catalyst for attracting private funding from individuals, businesses, organizations and foundations in order to enhance library services to our community.

Description

Our purpose is to enhance the educational, inspirational, cultural, and recreational opportunities for current and future residents of Manchester, New Hampshire, and its surrounding towns. We aim to achieve this through the ongoing growth and development of the resources, services, and facilities of the Manchester City Library, the public library serving the community.

Our primary objective is to raise funds for the Manchester City Library and its programs. Previous projects have included installing water bottle filling stations, redesigning the children’s room, providing phone charging stations, and supporting the ongoing operations of the bookmobile.
