Special Olympics NC - Community Outreach Lead - Union County
ORGANIZATION: Special Olympics North Carolina
Please visit the new page to apply.
Special Olympics NC (SONC) Union County is looking for a local area individual with a background in Community Outreach who can identify public events where we can spread the word about SONC and the great work being done with over 600 local athletes!
You and your committee volunteers, along with our Local Athlete Leadership Council will work to develop relationships with the county to identify events where Special Olympics Union County can set up a booth or tent to raise awareness of the services we provide through Special Olympics. You may also partner with our Fundraising Leadership teams to establish a lively SONC presence at fundraising and athletic events Special Olympics holds. Your time commitment includes monthly Zoom Steering Committee planning meetings and attendance at monthly community events.
Sharing your outreach talents for a few hours every month with this great organization would help ensure its ongoing success and help hundreds of intellectually disabled Union County area athletes gain self-confidence, achieve personal goals, and have fun through SONC. Whether you have experience in community outreach, social media, networking, volunteer management, fundraising, or just have a little spare time and want to do good, we need your help to make our athletes' dreams come true!
Our staff and existing management team will work with you to accomodate your schedule and no prior Special Olympics experience is necessary. We will schedule a call or meeting to discuss the opportunity with you further; Special Olympics NC Orientation and training can all be done online.
