Description

Northeast Storytelling (NEST) is dedicated to promoting storytelling in all of its forms. We understand the power of story to foster deep connection, support education and inspire healing and change. Our members come from all walks of life and tell stories in classrooms, libraries, senior facilities, community centers, universities, hospitals, businesses, theaters and more. They include professional storytellers as well as storytelling enthusiasts.

Each March, we produce Sharing the Fire, the premier storytelling conference in the Northeast. We provide hands-on workshops for artists of all stages, taught by a diverse mix of master storytellers and practitioners. The conference is packed with opportunities to listen, tell, collaborate, network, learn, and grow.

We host the Worldwide Virtual Storytelling Guild monthly, a free opportunity for anyone to tell a story, listen to stories, and give/receive feedback. This is a great place for budding tellers to refine their craft.

Our Storytelling Training Video Series will be launching soon. These 30-minute videos by experts will guide anyone to tell effective stories.

NEST is the information and networking hub for storytelling in the region. We collaborate with other organizations to offer resources and opportunities to perform and learn storytelling/public speaking skills. Our online calendar is the go-to resource to find virtual and in-person storytelling events.
