Elkwallow Picnic Area Clean Up
ORGANIZATION: National Park Service
Please visit the new page to apply.
As the fall foliage begins to turn and we head into our busiest visitor use season in Shenandoah, our picnic areas need some extra attention!
Volunteers will work alongside rangers to maintain picnic areas throughout the park. Activities will include litter cleanup and removing ash from fire pits.
Events will take place throughout the month of October. We will meet at the designated picnic area at 1:00pm and work until 3:30pm.
October 4th: Pinnacles Picnic Area
Volunteers under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This project is not recommended for those under 10 years old.
Space is limited for this event, so registration is required through Volunteer.gov. Please use this link to view the full event page and to apply. If you have any questions or are registering multiple volunteers, contact Corrina Wendel @ corrina_wendel@nps.gov
