Summary:

This position assists the Program & Audio Manager in booking concerts at The Garage by researching artists and entering information into our artist database. The Booking Assistant also contacts artists to gather information and compiles lists of artists who would be a good match for specific bills. This position is a part-time unpaid volunteer role.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Research artists online and gather contact info, social media sites, links to music

• Contact artists directly to gather information not readily available

• Enter artist information into Band Database

• Compile lists of artists who would be a good match for specific events

• Keep info in Band Database updated

Skills Required

• Strong communication skills with artists and team members

• Knowledge of local music scene, various genres of music

• Positive attitude and demeanor

• Enjoy live music performances

• Professionalism with musicians, guests and team members

• Previous music venue work; helpful but not required
