NOTE: United Spay Alliance works in partnership with Marian's Dream to promote spay/neuter and animal welfare projects.

The Role:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate volunteer to document one of our most popular and needed programs -- hands-on training for veterinarians in spay/neuter techniques. We are looking for someone who can capture not only the work we do, but the impact it has and why it is so important.

Your video will directly support our fundraising efforts by helping us craft a compelling story for potential donors.

  • Editing: Use the footage to create an engaging video that will support our fundraising campaigns, demonstrating the impact of our work to donors.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in videography, with access to your own equipment.
  • Strong video editing skills, with an eye for storytelling and engagement.
  • Ability to collaborate with our team to ensure the final video reflects our mission and goals.
  • Experience in marketing and/or fundraising is a plus!
  • Passion for animal welfare or nonprofit causes is highly valued.

Why Volunteer With Us?

  • Build your portfolio. Gain valuable experience in nonprofit media production while working alongside passionate advocates for animal welfare.
  • Develop your storytelling skills. This project will challenge you to craft a compelling narrative that resontates with donors. You'll gain experience creating impactful, mission-driven content, while honing your ability to convey emotion and urgency through video.
  • Be a catalyst for change. The spay/neuter techniques we're teaching are a best practice that veterinarians around the country are eager to learn them. Your video will play a key role in our fundraising efforts, directly helping us continue funding these critical training events and expand our programs nationwide.

Time Commitment:

The training event will take place on Saturday, November 2 at Maine Animal Health Alliance (231 Old Belgrade Rd, Augusta, ME). The day will run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

We aim to use the content for our #GivingTuesday (December 3, 2024) and end-of-year fundraising efforts, so post-production should be completed within 2-3 weeks.
