Coralville Lake - Sandy Beach Campground Park Custodial

The primary duty of the Park Custodian is to conduct light custodial duties within the campground and boat ramp. The volunteer and/or spouse shall provide an average of 21-25 hours of volunteer service per week and will serve for the entire recreation season May through September. Two different volunteer positions will share a rotating work schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off. Example schedules are available from the project POC.
Volunteers selected for this position are provided a campsite in the Sandy Beach Campground with water, 50 amp electric, and sewer hookups.
Area Mileage/Week: A shared golf cart is located at each campground for use conducting volunteer duties.
Specific Duties Include:
- Conduct custodial duties at the Sandy Beach Campground and Day Use Area on scheduled days.
- Daily cleaning of 2 waterborne restroom/shower buildings. This includes cleaning the floors, toilets, urinals, countertops, sinks, mirrors, and ensuring it has adequate toilet paper supply.
- Daily cleaning of 1 vault restroom building. This includes cleaning of the floors and toilet/riser and ensuring it has adequate toilet paper supply.
- Daily cleaning of the large group shelter.
- Picking up litter in all areas of the campground and day use area.
- Emptying trash cans daily.
- Weekly deep cleaning of one waterborne restroom/shower building located within your assigned loop. This includes cleaning the floors, toilets, urinals, countertops, sinks, mirrors, walls, ceilings, building exteriors, sidewalks, and ensuring it has adequate toilet paper supply.
- Weekly cleaning of campsite fire rings located within your assigned loop.
