Machiah’s House is seeking a dynamic YouTube Coordinator to manage and grow our YouTube presence, raise awareness of our mission, and connect with similar organizations and influencers to help us reach young women who have aged-out from foster care. About Machiah’s House: Machiah’s House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment for young women who have aged-out of the foster care system. We offer transitional housing, life skills training, and access to resources that help these young women navigate the challenges of adulthood and build a successful future. Volunteer Role: Creative and Innovative YouTube CoordinatorJob Description:YouTube Channel Management: Oversee Machiah’s House’s YouTube channel by planning, creating, and posting compelling video content that highlights our mission, stories of impact, and ways to get involved. Ensure our channel maintains a consistent and engaging voice, with a strong focus on the needs of young women aging out of foster care. Content Creation & Editing: Film, edit, and produce high-quality, engaging video content, including interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and event coverage. Use storytelling to connect with our audience emotionally and inspire them to take action. Collaboration with Influencers: Reach out to influencers, content creators, and vloggers who align with our mission. Coordinate collaborations, guest appearances, and promotional videos to spread awareness of Machiah’s House to larger audiences. Networking with Similar Non-Profit Organizations: Identify and connect with similar nonprofit organizations that work with foster care youth, homelessness, and life skills training. Collaborate on cross-promotional content, joint campaigns, and advocacy videos to enhance our reach and share resources. Content Strategy: Develop and execute a long-term content strategy to engage with our YouTube audience. Plan out content themes, schedule regular video posts, and create playlists focused on life skills, success stories, and personal empowerment for foster youth. Campaign Integration: Work closely with the fundraising and marketing teams to create video content that aligns with our ongoing campaigns. Promote fundraising efforts like our "Building Bridges" transitional home campaign and encourage viewers to get involved by donating or sharing. Engagement & Community Building: Respond to comments and questions on our videos to build an active and supportive online community. Create interactive video challenges, Q&A sessions, or live streaming events that bring viewers into our mission and foster a sense of belonging. SEO & Channel Growth: Use SEO best practices to optimize video titles, descriptions, and tags to increase our visibility and attract more subscribers. Monitor channel analytics to track video performance and make data-driven improvements to increase engagement and subscriptions. Storytelling & Impact: Share the powerful stories of the young women we serve through short documentary-style videos, testimonials, and success stories. Create content that demonstrates the tangible impact of donations and volunteer efforts. Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in video production, editing, and content creation
  • Familiarity with YouTube platform management and SEO optimization
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with an eye for creating impactful, inspiring content
  • Ability to connect and collaborate with influencers and nonprofit organizations
  • Passion for social causes, particularly those that involve youth and foster care
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Creativity and innovation in developing new ideas for video content and audience engagement
  • Impact: As the YouTube Coordinator, your work will be crucial in growing our online presence, engaging a wider audience, and building a community of supporters. Your efforts will help raise the necessary funds and awareness to provide safe housing, life skills training, and critical support to young women who have aged out of foster care, giving them a better start in life.
