Job Summary:

Seeking a motivated Part-Time Coordinator to join the Kalmat Foundation. Responsible for planning and executing fundraising events to support underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. Background in relevant field and 2+ years of non-profit event planning and fundraising experience required.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate fundraising events with the board of directors.
  • Create and manage a calendar of fundraising initiatives.
  • Identify grant opportunities and manage the application process.
  • Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners.
  • Coordinate digital marketing strategies with social media manager, event logistics, and volunteer recruitment.
  • Track fundraising progress and prepare reports.
  • Collaborate with board members on fundraising strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • 2+ years of non-profit event planning and fundraising experience.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Founded in 2011, we are a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code, focusing on helping underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. Our mission is to provide support and resources to meet the basic needs of these children, empowering them to reach their full potential in a healthy and supportive environment. Our initial focus is on addressing poverty and lack of access to education in Sri Lanka, where 24.7% of the population has only a fifth-grade education.
