Communications & Marketing Volunteers for the 2025 Daring Gala

Join the Team!

We’re looking for passionate Communications & Marketing Volunteers to help promote the 2025 Daring Gala, our most anticipated event of the year! The Daring Gala brings together a diverse and philanthropic crowd nationwide to support and equip secondary school girls in Africa with knowledge and tools to reach their full potential. The evening will feature inspiring stories from our programs, incredible auction items, and opportunities for our community to come together to support these young women.

As part of the Communications & Marketing team, you’ll:

  • Support ticket sales and drive engagement.
  • List our gala on event calendars and other relevant outlets.
  • Help promote the event on social media and other channels.

About the Event:

The Daring Girls Gala is not just a celebration; it’s a chance to make a tangible impact on the lives of girls in Africa. Guests will enjoy a memorable evening of inspiring stories, food, drinks, and exciting auction items, including hotel stays, dining experiences, and adventure packages.

In return for your successful volunteer accomplishments over the next 7 months, you'll receive a free ticket to the gala for yourself and a plus one, giving you a chance to enjoy this meaningful and exciting event.

Daring Girls partners locally to ensure that girls have the knowledge, tools, mentorship, and support to confidently design their own futures. We're working toward a world where every girl has the skills, confidence, and savvy to design her own future and dare to become who she wants to be.

Description

When girls grow up in communities where they are not valued or viewed as equal, access to a strong woman mentor is key to helping girls understand their worth and see their potential.
Mentoring and life skills development programs have been shown to improve adolescent social skills and emotional well-being, and have shown that girls in particular benefit. Steeped in this research, the mentoring programs we support focus on goal setting and building resilience through long-term, structured lessons and curricula that involve girls, their parents, school leadership, and their surrounding community. The result? Lifelong impact and enduring bonds between girls, their peers, and their mentors.
