Do you love the Bashakill and want to share that enthusiasm with others? Join us as a BKAA Event Volunteer. Volunteers agree to help at least four times a year for 4 hours. We have many events that need you, such as Earth Day at SUNYs Sullivan and Orange, Mamakating Farmer’s Market on Friday afternoons, and Wurtsboro Founder’s Day. At events such as these you’ll host a table and give out information about the BKAA and our upcoming walks, lectures, events and help to publicize our unique trails, Nature Watch, and the good work that we do. Event volunteers also help with our Annual Clean Up In which a team of volunteers come together to help pick up trash and keep the area beautiful. Afterwards we celebrate with a delicious lunch. EMail bkaavolunteer@gmail.com for more information and a listing of our upcoming events that need volunteer assistance.

Description
The Association consists of some 600+ members working together to preserve the unspoiled quality of the beautiful and unique Basha Kill. The Basha Kill Wildlife Management Area is a 2,213-acre conservation area consisting of wetlands and uplands along the Basher Kill in Sullivan County, New York.
