Are you curious about how we test the waters of the Bashakill to determine the health of the ecosystem? Would you like to take a more active role in protecting and conserving our amazing wetland? It only takes a couple of hours between 3-4 times a year and it's easier than you think! You must be available Saturday mornings and having a mode of transportation to the facility and testing sites. Water testing takes place across a variety of locations, so being comfortable on uneven terrain is recommended. High school students interested in learning about the natural sciences and take part in the water testing program are welcome as long as they have transportation to our facility and a guardian with them at all times if they are less than 18 years old. Email bkaavolunteer@gmail.com for more information about this program and how to sign up!
