Description: Embrace Abilities, a young nonprofit, is seeking a creative and experienced volunteer to help us develop successful fundraising strategies. We are new to fundraising and have had difficulty getting traction with previous efforts, such as a raffle that didn’t generate any sales. If you have a passion for helping nonprofits raise funds and can provide guidance on how to start, we’d love your input!

Who We Are: Embrace Abilities is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting neurodiverse and special needs children and their families along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We provide free events and activities that foster community, social skills, and support for families. As a newly formed organization, securing funding is essential to our continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

• Brainstorm and suggest creative fundraising ideas tailored to our mission and community.
• Develop a fundraising plan that includes both short-term and long-term strategies.
• Provide guidance on implementing fundraising campaigns and events.
• Assist with setting realistic goals and tracking progress.
• Offer insights on how to engage donors and build lasting support.

Qualifications:

• Experience with nonprofit fundraising, particularly for small or new organizations.
• Creative thinker with a strong understanding of different fundraising techniques.
• Ability to assess what fundraising strategies will resonate with our community.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
