Love without Violence, Inc. is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a board member, you will play a critical role in guiding the strategic direction of our nonprofit organization, which is dedicated to raising domestic violence awareness, supporting survivors, and promoting healthy relationships in our community. This is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact and help shape the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide governance and oversight of the organization’s mission, strategy, and financial health.
  • Participate in board meetings, strategic planning sessions, and committee assignments.
  • Offer leadership, advice, and expertise to ensure the sustainability and growth of the organization.
  • Help identify and cultivate partnerships, donors, and resources to support the organization's initiatives.
  • Act as an ambassador for Love without Violence, Inc., helping to spread awareness and promote its mission in the community.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of programs and services.
  • Contribute to fundraising efforts, including attending events and supporting grant initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards and practices.

Qualifications:

  • A commitment to domestic violence awareness and survivor support.
  • Prior board experience or a background in nonprofit leadership, finance, legal, marketing, fundraising, or social services is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to commit to 10 - 15 hours per month.
  • Experience with fundraising, donor relations, or grant writing is an preferred but not required.
  • A strong network in the community and the ability to connect the organization with new opportunities and resources.
