Position Overview:
Shroomate is seeking an experienced and innovative Marketing Director to join our Board of Directors. In this key leadership role, you will oversee Shroomate’s marketing strategy, drive community engagement, and promote our nonprofit's mission. As a Board Member, you will contribute to high-level decision-making while leading efforts to build our brand and expand our outreach in sustainability and education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Board Member, attending quarterly board meetings and contributing to organizational strategy
• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing plan that supports Shroomate’s goals
• Oversee digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, and website content
• Collaborate with internal teams to promote Shroomate’s events, research initiatives, and fundraising activities
• Monitor key marketing metrics, adjust strategies based on performance, and report outcomes to the board
• Manage the production of digital and print materials, ensuring consistent messaging and branding
• Build partnerships with media outlets, sponsors, and external stakeholders to amplify Shroomate’s mission
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the marketing and communications teams
• Stay informed on industry trends and innovations to keep Shroomate’s marketing efforts cutting-edge

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, with leadership experience (nonprofit marketing experience is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of digital marketing, content creation, and branding strategies
• Proven track record of successfully implementing marketing campaigns and increasing engagement
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams
• Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to measure and optimize campaigns
• Strategic thinker with attention to detail and creativity
• Passion for environmental sustainability, education, or nonprofit work is highly appreciated
