STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced,
bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.
Location: Remote
Time commitment: 4 Hours per Week (Flexible Hours)
Job Description: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing video content that aligns with our mission, including promotional videos, educational content, and event recaps. Your work will play a crucial role in communicating our message and engaging our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize video assets and files.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video editing.
- Ensure all videos are completed on time and meet the quality standards.
- Incorporate graphics, animations, and audio elements to enhance video quality.
- Collaborate with the content team to create storyboards and develop video concepts.
- Edit and assemble recorded footage into compelling videos that align with STEM Canada's vision.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- A portfolio showcasing previous video editing work is preferred.
- Strong understanding of storytelling and pacing in video production.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
