Anchor Health is currently seeking hospice office Volunteers to do data entry in our North Petaluma office in Sonoma County, CA.

There are also remote opportunities available.

We have a several opportunities below that might fit your schedule or location. Each one is very easy and extremely helpful to our office staff, our patients, and their families. We are grateful for any help you can provide in these areas:

  • (Petaluma Office) Data Entry on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays
    • Every week: 2-4 hours
    • Anytime between 12:00pm and 5:00pm
    • North Petaluma near Applebees
    • Experience or familiarity with computers and navigating websites is ideal, but is not required
    • Full training provided
  • (Remote from Home) Data Entry
    • Same as the Petaluma Office description above, but you can volunteer from home if you prefer.
    • Open to any resident of California
  • (Remote from Home) Phone Calls Tuesday and/or Thursday mornings
    • Volunteers call our patients' caregivers to check in and to see if they have any new supply or mediacation needs.
    • Every week: Tuesday and/or Thursday mornings, 1-2 hours
    • Anytime between 9:00am and 12:00pm preferred (possible to go as late as 2:00pm)
    • Experience or familiarity with computers, spreadsheets, and navigating websites is ideal, but is not required as full training is provided.
    • Open to any resident of California
  • (Remote from Home) Phone Calls any day of the week or weekend
    • Volunteers call the caregivers of our patients and ask them a set of questions to be sure that they are happy with our services and to see if they have any feedback, questions, or concerns, so we can ensure we are always going above and beyond in our service to them and their loved one in helping to make their end-of-life journey as beautiful, easy, and comfortable as we can.
    • Every week: 2-4 hours
    • Hours and days are flexible 7 days a week
    • Open to any resident of California

Volunteering with Hospice will give you an opportunity to truly make a difference in another person's life. Every minute you volunteer directly or indirectly helps our patients, their families, and those who care for them.

Does doing in-person patient visits seem like a better fit for you?

We have many opportunities available as well for in-person companionship, Pet Therapy, Respite, and vigil volunteers in Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Solano, Sacramento, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties.

How do you get started?

Let us know you're interested and our Volunteer Coordinator will give you a call! You will receive an orientation to hospice concepts as well as training for your administrative help, and you will be well-supported and greatly appreciated by Patients, their families, and the entire Anchor Health Hospice team.

Description

Volunteer Services : Trained volunteers provide support by giving personal health in a companionship and service role. They provide companionship for patients and respite for family members and other health givers, run errands, prepare meals and spend time listening and sharing with the patient and/or family.
