Why: This "Karma Yoga" service event benefits children who are abused, neglected, abandoned, orphaned, developmentally or learning-disabled, homeless, teen runaways esp. LGBTQIA, or children whose lives have been adversely impacted by HIV / AIDS as well as homeless adults.
Who: The mission of One Incredible Family is to serve the disenfranchised members of our global family, here in Los Angeles County, by producing holiday-themed community service projects, designed to teach volunteer activism on the grassroots level. These events bring the HOLIDAYS to those who may not otherwise celebrate such whether by intention, lack of means or circumstance due to homelessness, loneliness, despair, apathy, disabilities, poverty, lack of family, or perceived lack of deservedness. And, with you by our side ... We ARE Making A Difference ... One Heart At A Time.
What to Expect:
Volunteers will assist in an "arts and crafts project" creating / decorating Halloween Trick-Or-Treat Bags and filling them with candy, toys, and a sealed pre-pasted toothbrush.
Benefits: We bring the holidays to those who may not otherwise celebrate such. Whether by intention, lack of means or circumstance, due to homelessness, loneliness, despair, apathy, disabilities, poverty, lack of family, or perceived lack of deservedness.
What's Required:
Volunteers must be 8 years of age. Minors under 13 MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Time Commitment: This "Karma Yoga" service event runs from 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. A minimum 3-hour commitment is required for ALL volunteers.

Mission Statement
One Incredible Family, Inc. provides services which benefit the following disadvantaged sectors of our community: the homeless; people afflicted directly and indirectly by HIV/AIDS especially children; at-risk youth (abused, neglected, impoverished, abandoned, orphaned, runaways, homeless, learning-disabled, etc.); the elderly; and the environment. We also present educational workshops designed to provide psychological and emotional healing from abusive or dysfunctional childhoods and provide beneficial skills which can be used to improve the quality of our relationships with others and ourselves. As we heal ourselves and grow emotionally and spiritually, we are naturally drawn to service as a path to personal enlightenment. We call this path Karma Yoga.
