Mission

BINA Farm Center is a 501 (c) (3) organization with an inclusive mission that brings together individuals of all ages with and without physical, developmental, cognitive, and mental health challenges by offering a variety of equine-assisted therapeutic, clinical, recreational, educational, and complementary programs. BINA provides an environment that supports individuals to thrive personally and within their communities.

Barn chores: Support our barn team as we clean stalls and paddocks, fill water buckets, feed grain and hay, and prepare for the program day ahead.

Sidewalker: Walk and jog alongside our participants as they ride or maneuver around the farm throughout their lesson or therapy session.

Horse Groom: Gather tack and prepare the horses assigned so they can be brushed and ready for the lesson or therapy session ahead.

Horse Leader: Lead the horse during a lesson or therapy session so the participant can focus on learning, gaining new skills, and developing independence.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 14 years old and able to work independently
  • Horse experience and/or experience working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial but not necessary. We provide training for all volunteers.
  • Volunteers 18 and older must complete CORI background check
