We are re-building a community garden space in NE Portland. We are a peer-based mental health services nonprofit. We have a beautiful large green space that is being transformed into raised garden beds to allow more people to access the space and use it to grow vegetables. This transformation will allow someone with a mobility devices to access the gardens and generally be much easier to use. Some of the new garden plots will be use by our program for therapeutic gardening groups and other will be available for community members to utilize as a traditional community garden.
Come join us at our garden work parties and you will learn how to build a raised garden bed while helping strengthen resiliency of the neighborhood. You may also email socialprograms@gmail.com or call our organizer at 971-888-1784.
