Mission Statement
To gather thoughtful, concerned world citizens to discuss 1) the root causes of human overshoot and impending collapse, 2) what needs to happen to avoid the worst outcomes, and 3) getting organized to mitigate the crises. We at Earth Viability Center have the Virtual Community Centers (free to users) that are designed to support this effort. We need the old, the young, the rich and the poor, and every ethnicity ... Can you spend some time thinking, discussing, and learning with us? Contact me!
Description
We started three years ago as a group of scientists from six different countries, meeting via Zoom every week. We initially focused on the stories that Mother Culture inculcates in us and which largely guide our behavior, individually and collectively. We then shifted to developing social COLLABORATION media to enable activist groups and encourage collaboration among them. Our Virtual Community Centers are now far cfrom complete but are already quite useful ... and we are actively promoting their use by concerned people and groups.
